Meet the Prerequisites<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p1\">Before applying, you must have:<\/p><ul><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A valid <\/span><b>GESEA MIGS Certificate<\/b><b><\/b><\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\">A documented surgical curriculum, with supporting documentation, sent to <a href=\"mailto:info@esge.org\">info@esge.org<\/a><span class=\"s1\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/Attachment.tiff\" alt=\"Attachment.tiff\" \/><\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><b>2. Schedule Your Procedures<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s3\">You must schedule and perform <\/span><b>five separate procedures<\/b><span class=\"s3\"> \u2014 using <\/span><b>new, not previously recorded<\/b><span class=\"s3\"> material.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">Once the first procedure is scheduled, you are officially enrolled in the MIGS Diploma pathway.<\/p><blockquote><p>Each video must be submitted within <span class=\"s1\"><b>48 hours<\/b><\/span> of the surgery, along with the anaesthesiology report.<\/p><\/blockquote><p class=\"p1\">All submissions are reviewed by <span class=\"s1\"><b>independent international experts<\/b><\/span> through the GESEA Diploma Video submission platform.<\/p><hr \/><h4><b>What Will Be Evaluated?<\/b><\/h4><p><b>Laparoscopic Hysterectomy<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p1\">Candidates must submit a <span class=\"s1\"><b>total laparoscopic hysterectomy<\/b><\/span> performed independently. The evaluation focuses on four critical steps:<\/p><ol start=\"1\"><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Dissection of the <\/span><b>broad ligament<\/b><span class=\"s1\"> and <\/span><b>infundibulopelvic ligament<\/b><b><\/b><\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><b>Bladder dissection<\/b><b><\/b><\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><b>Colpotomy<\/b><b><\/b><\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><b>Laparoscopic vaginal suture<\/b><\/p><\/li><\/ol><p class=\"p1\">These steps are assessed using the <span class=\"s1\"><b>H-OSATS scale<\/b><\/span>, an objective tool that evaluates surgical precision, tissue handling, and operative flow.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">\u27a1\ufe0f A reference article titled <i>\u201cSurgical steps of total laparoscopic hysterectomy\u201d<\/i> is available in <span class=\"s1\"><b>Facts, Views &amp; Vision in ObGyn<\/b><\/span>, the ESGE\u2019s official journal.<\/p><p><b>Hysteroscopic Procedures<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p1\">Applicants must submit <span class=\"s1\"><b>four hysteroscopies<\/b><\/span> (all performed as first surgeon):<\/p><ul><li><p class=\"p1\">2 diagnostic cases:<\/p><ul><li><p class=\"p1\">One standard case of any kind<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">One in a <\/span><b>menopausal or nulliparous<\/b><span class=\"s1\"> patient<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\">2 operative cases:<\/p><ul><li><p class=\"p1\">One <span class=\"s1\"><b>polypectomy<\/b><\/span> (polyp \u22651.5 cm)<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">One <\/span><b>myomectomy<\/b><\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"p1\">The evaluation focuses on hysteroscopic technique, diagnostic reasoning, anatomical detail, and use of adjunct imaging where relevant.<br \/><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Particular attention is given to:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><blockquote><p>Vaginoscopic, non-traumatic entry<\/p><\/blockquote><\/li><li><blockquote><p>Navigation and fluid control<\/p><\/blockquote><\/li><li><blockquote><p>Panoramic and close-up views<\/p><\/blockquote><\/li><li><blockquote><p>Endometrial evaluation and diagnosis<\/p><\/blockquote><\/li><li><blockquote><p>Structured description of pathology<\/p><\/blockquote><\/li><li><blockquote><p>Differential diagnosis when applicable<\/p><\/blockquote><\/li><\/ul><hr \/><h4><b>A Pathway of Excellence<\/b><\/h4><p class=\"p1\">The GESEA MIGS Diploma isn\u2019t simply a title.
